Privacy Policy
Last updated 29 July 2026
SnapDeck is an independent software product based in Thailand. This policy covers the website at snapdeck.net and the SnapDeck Mac app, and is written to be read rather than survived. For anything below, the person responsible is reachable at support@snapdeck.net.
Your screenshots never leave your Mac
This is the part most people want to know, so it goes first. SnapDeck watches the folder macOS saves screenshots to and shows them on a shelf. Those images are read on your machine and displayed on your machine. They are never uploaded, never copied to a server, and we never see them. There is no account, no sync, and no cloud storage. If you delete a screenshot, it goes to your Trash and that is the end of it.
What the app does send
Exactly one thing: your licence key. The app sends it to snapdeck.net to ask whether your licence is still valid — on launch, roughly every six hours, and when your Mac wakes. The reply is a signed token stored on your Mac so the app keeps working offline.
That request necessarily reveals your IP address to our host, as any web request does. We do not log it to build a profile, and there is no database associating it with you.
What the website collects
- When you buy: your email address and payment details go to Stripe, our payment processor. Card numbers are handled entirely by Stripe — they never touch our servers and we never see them. We store your licence key and which plan you bought against your customer record at Stripe. We keep no database of our own.
- Your download email: sent through Resend, which processes your email address in order to deliver it.
- Advertising measurement: only if you accept cookies. See the Cookie Policy.
- Server logs: our host, Vercel, records requests including IP addresses for security and reliability. We also count requests per IP briefly, in memory, to stop abuse of the checkout and licence endpoints.
Advertising and Meta
If you accept cookies, we load the Meta Pixel, which tells Meta that a visit, a checkout start, or a purchase happened, along with the amount and currency. Meta may combine that with what it already knows about you. This is the only third-party tracking on the site, it never runs before you agree, and declining it costs you nothing. If you have not accepted, no request to Meta is made at all.
Who we share with
Only the services that make the product work: Stripe (payments), Resend (your download email), Vercel (hosting), and Meta (advertising measurement, with consent). Each acts under its own privacy terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the Meta Pixel described above — which you control.
How long we keep things
Your purchase record and licence key stay at Stripe for as long as your licence exists, and for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep sale records. Your cookie choice stays in your browser until you clear it. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host and then discarded.
Why we are allowed to do this
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or Thailand's PDPA applies: we process your purchase details because they are necessary to perform our contract with you; we process limited technical data to keep the service secure and working, which is our legitimate interest; and we use advertising cookies only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, ask for it in a portable form, or withdraw consent for advertising cookies. Email support@snapdeck.net and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EU, UK, or Thailand and you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority. We would rather you told us first so we can fix it.
Children
SnapDeck is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, for anything significant, tell customers by email. Questions go to support@snapdeck.net.
